PEOPLE

Especially the volunteers for their wages are recognition, appreciation and honor.

Don't neglect to pay everyone his or her due.

Recognise, appreciate, thank, encourage and honour everyone.

Building people is your business!

The best chef can only do so much with a lump of meat.

Whether you'll come back is up to the people who serve you.

Clients will even put up with mistakes if the people part blesses them.

CRITICISM

One of the most difficult challenges for a leader is the inevitable criticism from being out front

The more successful you become the greater the criticism will be.

People clothe jealousy, prejudice and envy with legitimate sounding criticisms.

Henry Louis Mencken said 'criticism is prejudice made plausible.'

If you care too much what others think, you will be hurt.

Care less what others think.

You cannot make everyone happy.

Stay true to your course.

Nothing of worth is achieved without opposition.

Winston Churchill declared;
'Opposition is the natural environment of effective leaders. Resisting extreme reaction to criticism is the key to steadiness at the helm. One of the deciding marks of a great leader is the way he handles criticism. Criticism is easy, achievement is difficult.'

It's not so much about time management but about managing ourselves.

If our motives are pure, our spirit will remain positive.

The pure in heart easily 'see' God.

The impure in heart are easily cynical.

Impure motivations produce botched results.

We change our motivations from;

a. Selfish Amition to Self Denial
b. Power hunger to Servanthood
c. Gain to Giving

Our commitment to Christ means we choose to do the right things for the right reasons and let the chips fall as they may.

EQUATIONS

One plus one equals two.

Do things by the numbers.

Be methodical.

Be systematic.

Don't be overwhelmed by the problem.

Do each step of a methodical, systematic solution.

Do this and then that.

See this person, then that one.

Do a kindness to someone and they will be endeared to you.

Be unkind and they will be estranged from you no matter how polite they are.

Even though each step may not seem to achieve much.

All the steps will ultimately add up to a positive solution.

BUILDING ON STRENGTH

Build on strengths, not on your weaknesses.

Know what your strengths are and build on those.

Know your weaknesses and let others do that.

What are you good at?

Not what do you think you are good at, or what would you like to be good at, but what works in your world?

This is God's gift in you.

Accept it, nourish it, develop it, maximise it and do it!

Just because something works for someone else, doesn't mean it will work for you.

Learn from others but don't get hijacked.

Structure your organisation around the gifts in peoples lives.

Build on strengths.

GOD THE ANSWER

Because of the Christ's resurrection.

Instead of death reigning, we now reign in life.

We are health instead of sickness,

Life instead of death,

And we have solutions for the problems people face.

There is not a problem that God has not already provided the answer for.

There is not a problem any of us face that is bigger than the God inside us.

There is not a problem that mankind faces that cannot be solved through the complete salvation of the cross of Christ.

THE JOSEPH FACTOR

The 'Joseph factor' in leadership kicks in when you delegate responsibility to a person blessed by God.

Potiphar trusted Joseph with the management of all he had.

Potiphar prospered.

Pharaoh trusted Joseph with the management of Egypt.

Egypt became the leading world power.

If a leader can cope with others bringing more blessing into the organisation than they do, they will succeed way beyond their own ability.

Identify people who are blessed.

Identify people who achieve high profits.

Identify those who achieve your goals.

Select on these criteria, not emotional blackmail, political correctness, traditions, or any other negative.

Position them so what they have gets onto others.

Dead products go nowhere.

People are attracted to life!

Create life all around you.

Be bright and love living.

People want this more than money.

STRENGTH

We call out to God, praying He will change our circumstances, but often it is us He changes.

He strengthens us with strength in our soul.

This is the need of a leader.
We have the wisdom to know what to do, whom to hire, whom to fire, what to change but lack the strength
to actually do it.

For years we tolerate situations we should have dealt with long before now but because our strength is not equal to the task, the situation hamstrings us from moving forward.

Let's get strong with strength from the 'Strong One' to do what has to be done.

The Heart of Evangelism

Hey! I really want to blog about this topic!I feel that it's really important to evangelize to unsaved people! Some Christians think that hey why should I? it's so hard!!!

But if they can see the BIG picture, this task/mission is very important! We're going to save people from going to hell and bring the love of God into them.
Now, you may say that's so hard. But if you really look into it, is it really that hard? some people are just so irritating? ha don't forget, Jesus died for these people that you have labeled "SO IRRITATING!!!". Everyone has their weak and bad points, just that your's has not been revealed yet...

If Jesus can forgive them, why not you? I believe that He loves them too! and hence the reason that He died for them. We all have to be Big! if you say some people are bad, but do you know why they're bad? it may be because they do not have the proper teaching, so be very thankful that you're not like them, but don't do just that, bring them to Christ! So that God can teach and change their hearts! Even some of our church's leaders used to be very bad! But look at them now? ha they're so on fire for Jesus! I'm sure there are people in your school or maybe even in your class; there's someone that has the potential to be another Charleston or Garrett!

So go all out and evangelise!!! You'll never know who you'll bring!

COP IT SWEET!

When you get corrected, cop it sweet!
When circumstances challenge you, keep a great attitude!
Mature people show great attitude when they're 'adjusted'.
The ability to accept correction is the doorway to progress.
Owning a great attitude, when you're receiving instruction you don't want, is a key to growth.
If you throw tantrums, sulk, or try to 'get even', you won't grow, and you'll keep the fault that caused the problem in the first place.
